Across France, pesticides have become a defining issue of public concern. Their traces are found in the air people breathe, the water they drink, the soil they cultivate, and even the dust inside their homes. The national PestiRiv study, led by Santé publique France and ANSES, delivered one of the clearest pictures yet: residents living near vineyards are significantly more exposed to agricultural pesticides than those living farther from cultivated land.
