THE RESSOURCES CIRCLE

The Resources Circle is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing the human, material, and financial resources necessary for the sustainable operation of APAC and the realization of its projects.

Within a framework of cooperation and shared responsibility, this circle contributes to ensuring the association’s autonomy and long-term sustainability. It supports the development of activities by identifying needs and opportunities for support from institutions, partners, donors, and organizations sensitive to APAC’s values and mission.

Its activities include:

  • financial and administrative management of the association;
  • fundraising and grant applications;
  • organizing donation and membership campaigns;
  • developing support partnerships;
  • identifying ethical funding solutions consistent with APAC’s values;
  • supporting projects requiring specific resources or funding.

The Resources Circle also contributes to the preparation of institutional presentation documents, the promotion of projects to potential supporters, and the development of a sustainable strategy enabling APAC to strengthen and expand its actions in the fields of education, cooperation, peace, and dialogue among peoples.

The Resources Circle includes:

  • Roland Daval, as the association’s treasurer, had until now been solely responsible for this role.
  • Dominique Lesaffre has agreed to join him to organize fundraising activities, donation campaigns, and the pricing of partner advertising (e.g., MAIF, MGEN).

Dominique Lesaffre proposes the following approach for fundraising:

  1. identify APAC’s funding needs, both in absolute terms and under the most ambitious development scenarios;
  2. assess self-financing capacity (through direct voluntary donations, memberships, etc.);
  3. draft a concise institutional document (maximum 5 pages) presenting APAC, to serve as an entry point for potential funders; the expected profile of this document can be defined, as it is essential for any fundraising action;
  4. identify potential institutional donors likely to respond positively to our request, such as those interested in the cooperative field;
  5. launch the fundraising campaign targeting the identified institutions.
