Cooperatives Approaches and the Paradigma Foundation for the Córdoba Forum have joined forces to produce this special issue on conviviality. The “Córdoba Forum, World Forum of Conviviality”, which took place in Córdoba in May 2019, is an initiative of the Paradigma Córdoba Foundation.
This periodic event aims to celebrate the interreligious and intercultural spirit of the historic city of Córdoba, in order to facilitate and strengthen the work of those committed to creating a just and inclusive society.
Conviviality, the art of living together in harmony, was practiced in the Middle Ages, between the 10th and 13th centuries, in the Umayyad Sultanate of Córdoba. Jews, Muslims, and Christians lived in harmony and together developed a magnificent civilization. In 136 pages and thirty articles, this issue presents the concept of conviviality, its history, the values that sustain it, its applications in society, and its place in art.
