Issue 21 of Approches Coopératives is a 120-page publication that, coinciding with the Paris Olympic Games, addresses the issue of sport for all. Produced in cooperation with the Union of Outdoor Centers (UCPA), which boasts over 3 million participants and brings together 19 youth and community education associations, 25 sports federations, 4 government ministries, and the Caisse des Dépôts (a French public sector financial institution), this issue comprises 24 articles organized into three sections: Sport for All, Sports Education, and Sport as a Tool for Well-being and Social Cohesion.
Leaders of major sports organizations, representatives of public authorities, sports instructors, and scientists share their experiences to illustrate the impact of sport as a tool for social inclusion and health education. They call on us to understand how sports organizations seek to live and deepen their social and environmental responsibility beyond the glitz of sports entertainment and competitive sports that will invade our screens during the Olympic Games.
